Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1Information you give us
When you sign up, RSVP, volunteer, contact us, or contribute, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or address, and anything you write to us. If you contribute, the payment is handled by our processor, Anedot. The campaign receives the information required to follow election law, which can include your name, address, employer, and occupation. We do not receive or store your full card number.
2Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the links that referred you, through server logs, cookies, and similar tools. We use this to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used.
3Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, security, and aggregate analytics. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings.
4How we use your information
We use your information to respond to you, to send campaign updates, event invitations, volunteer and voting information, and fundraising messages, to process and acknowledge contributions, to comply with Nevada and federal election law, and to improve and secure the site.
5Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and opt in, we use it to send campaign text messages as described in our SMS Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
6How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who work on our behalf (such as website hosting, email and text messaging, and our contribution processor), who may use it only to provide those services to us;
- as required by election law, including the public reporting of contributor information where the law requires it; and
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the campaign or others.
7A note on public campaign-finance records
Campaign-finance law may require us to report information about contributors, which can include name, address, employer, occupation, and amount. Information reported under those laws becomes part of the public record and is outside the control of this Policy.
